March is recognized as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and as someone who was diagnosed with stage 4 Colorectal Cancer in February 2020, I wanted to share my experience, emotions, and journey through this challenging ordeal.
When I received the devastating news of my diagnosis, I was utterly shattered. The road ahead seemed daunting, filled with numerous appointments, scans, and uncertainty. The treatment journey commenced with radiation therapy, followed by aggressive chemotherapy sessions, and ultimately surgeries.
Each step of the way brought its own set of challenges and emotions. From the physical toll of the treatments to the emotional rollercoaster, cancer is a journey like no other.
In the upcoming blogs, I’ll delve deeper into my experiences with radiations, chemotherapy treatments, surgeries, and the ups and downs of treating the Colorectal Cancer to emerging with NED (No Evidence of Disease).
Through sharing my story, I hope to offer support, inspiration, and awareness to others facing similar battles.
