Valentine’s day, when the world celebrates love we get a dreaded news that endangers our very existence. It was very difficult to receive that news on Valentine’s Day of all days.
The news that the colonoscopy conducted resulted in a discovery that I had tumor in the colon and it was cancerous. Even worse that the highly possible that it’s already spread.
Getting such a news when you wake up from anesthesia is horrifying. My first and only question to the Doctor was “How long would I live?” From then to today, it’s been a roller coaster ride.
Thanking GOD for everything, from a very supportive family & friends who have been by my side ensuring we all stay positive and support each other throughout the cancer journey.
Thanking GOD for blessing me with the mental & physical strength to fight it.
Thanking GOD for my medical team (Doctors, nurses & care team) that’s the best, highly competent & compassionate. They are the ones whom I trust and feel comfortable with, as they develop a treatment plan that is tailored to my specific needs.
Thanking GOD for all the researchers and scientists are continuing to innovate and work towards finding better ways to treat and ultimately cure cancer.
The journey continues, the battle continues !!!
